Rev. Nickie Moreno Howard

PASTOR

Rev. Nickie Moreno Howard began serving as Senior Pastor of Miles Memorial UMC in July 2025 and is thrilled to be part of this vibrant community. A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary (Class of 2014), Nickie has served in a variety of ministry roles over the years—including associate pastor, Virginia Conference staff, and lead pastor.

She’s married to her favorite human, and together they’re raising three young kids who ensure life is never boring (or quiet). Originally from South Texas, Nickie cheers loudly for the Washington Nationals, the San Antonio Spurs, and—against her better judgment—the Dallas Cowboys.

Nickie believes ministry is a team effort and loves the idea of being “coworkers in Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:9). She’s passionate about building inclusive, creative, grace-filled spaces where faith is lived out in real life. She’s excited to walk with Miles Memorial into whatever beautiful thing God is doing next.
